The Club fosters a culture of mutual help, support and informal training. There is always someone who is willing to give advice or lend a hand, or point you in the right direction.

Each Spring the Club hosts and “Introduction to Sailing” day, when members of the public are offered to opportunity to try sailing on cruisers and dinghies.

A formal winter programme of talks, films and lectures of a nautical nature, along with various social events, take place every Thursday night from October to March. Visitors are always welcome.

From September each year members can enrol at “night school” navigation classes for RYA Competent Crew and Day Skipper qualifications. These are held at the Clubhouse.
